He kind of looks like a younger Gundy without a mullet.

Sloan was also a three-time member of the PCS Phosphate ECU All-Academic Team from 2008-10, the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and a Conference USA Academic Medal recipient.

During the 2020 campaign, Sloan oversaw a Louisiana Tech offense that ranked first in C-USA and second in the FBS in fourth down conversions at 88.9 percent (16-of-18). He guided the offense to rank fourth in C-USA and 53rd in the FBS in red zone offense at 84.6 percent (33-of-39). The Louisiana Tech offense also ranked fourth in C-USA in passing with an average of 216.6 passing yards per game.

I hope this is right. Looking at the talent level, across the NCAA, and seeing how Cincinati’s recruiting ranks, that team was very well coached, on both sides of the ball. They did a great job going undefeated and getting to the playoffs. LSU football is in really good hands now. An upward trend is already starting.

The boo birds on Denbrock want to use his CFP performance as a baseline.

His talent is no where near SEC. Just look at his starting RB… the 4th guy at Bama.

Gotta compare apples to apples. They went undefeated when playing equal schools. Drop him in the SEC and we riding, baws

Well, La Tech hasn’t had good QB play the last two years….could be a talent deficiency.

Neither has LSU.

Haven’t had good QB play in a long time outside of BDJ.

Going from an OC who had never called plays before to an OC who was nominated for Broyles Award is a big upgrade on paper. Hoping it works out and glad LSU hired experience over the first option of Tommy Rees.

Well I’m a Louisiana Tech fan not a rantard with purple and gold glasses.

Guy is an unreal recruiter. A professional. Players love him. He’s a bright up and comer who should have gotten out from under Skip a couple years ago.

Yeah Sloan seems like a pick for recruiting and possible coaching development. He's a young guy Kelly may be able to mold.

Having a QB coach with an OC in name only is redundant. This is like when Ensminger was "TE coach"

And a great recruiter apparently that is extremely familiar with Louisiana , especially North Louisiana. Love that. We needed that.

I’m very happy with the recruiting talent assembled. Wilson, Polian, and Cain are elite guys that have done it at major programs. Davis is strong. Cooks, Steeples, Sloan are young guys you can feel will be very solid on the trail. Am I missing anyone?

I am not a huge Denbrock fan but I love the House hire. Clearly Kelly likes “coaches” first at coordinator spots then recruiters in the staff. I’m fine with that, we’re going to be VERY well coached.
