The recruiting staff has a lot of potential.
Wilson, Cain, and Polian are elite guys.
Sloan is supposed to be pretty good. Steeples has potential to be elite. I'm still not sold on Cooks but we will see.
And yeah if these guys can recruit it allows House not to have to do what he hates so that's good. Cain looks to be a legit-good DL coach, too. Secondary may be an issue coaching-wise.

I think a lot of people are underselling Cooks’ recruiting abilities because they are falsely viewing him as a direct replacement for Raymond. If people were looking at Frank Wilson as Raymond’s replacement as lead recruiter I think the perspective would change. Cooks has recruited 15 Top 250 players and 20 4-stars, including Jerry Tillery out of Shreveport. That’s a pretty impressive recruiting resume.

The LSU football staff is continuing to come together in the upcoming days as sources told Yahoo Sports that Cincinnati offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock is expected to join Brian Kelly’s staff in Baton Rouge.

Let's go win a natty, baby! Denbrock gets a pass for yesterday, the way in which that game was played did not lend itself to a high scoring affair plus Ridder had a ton of his passes batted down which would've been TDs and his wideouts dropped a ton of key passes.
