re: Define a better coaching job

Let's face it. The only thing Bama has better than Texas is the current team. He knows he can do just as good and better at texas. So this will come down to how long Saban wants to coach. 2-3 years, he stays put and in position to win already. 4+ years he jumps ship and creates another monster.

I dont see this near a top job because of how hard it is to get money. I believe mora is way underpaid but he just got an extension so maybe now he isnt
I also think those west coast jobs, while great, are a little bit of a mismatch for the predominant themes in modern CFB coaching. Most of the top coaches seem to come through the south/midwest/Texas, and I'd expect relationships and culture might be a little dicier moving from those areas to a west coast school. Wouldn't keep most people from doing it, I just think it may impact the appeal vs. staying in Big 10/Big 12/SEC.

And of these, which is easiest to win at?
Texas and OSU easily. ND has academic hurdles, the SEC has scheduling difficulties, USC/UCLA have each other.
UT and OSU are THE top jobs in college football no question. Everyone else is way behind. Fertile recruiting grounds, not much competition on schedule, no local rivalries, money, name recognition, on and on....

Texass and it really isn't close. How can West Virgina, TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor, Iowa St, Kansas, and Kansas State compete with Texass year in and year out? Not possible.
Texass has to deal with OU and occasionally Oklahoma St. Only OU has similar athletes.
Texass schedule should pretty much be a cakewalk except for OU.

It's called a tradition of excellence. Bama has arguably more than any other school when it comes to football. Saban is not finished with his dynasty at Bama. Reality check.
Posted on 12/13/13 at 9:50 am to JuiceTerry
money and 3 titles at 3 schools > dynasty at bama or he would have signed that new extension already

Was informed years ago that was the proper way to refer to shorthorn university on the Rant.
Now with that said.... GFY.

this is so funny, everybody has their own slant to support their own "hopes" in this ordeal. except us aggies. we are the only ones who have stayed objective. we know the sipper shite show when we see it. this is it. furking clown car. I love it. cant wait until they botch this hire. no way no how ANY reputable HC goes to austin. the gonna end up with the Chiz, Bammer get to keep Saban at a higher price tag, lester gets a bump cause LSU is run by retards, and KDF(FURKIN)S got his big bump.
the big winner in the shite show?
Aggies,

Live in Richmond, TX. My guess is that you are an LSU fan on here but have probably have a Shaggybevo handle and post there as a Longhorn fan.
I also suspect you live in Houston.
I am certain your boss is an Aggie!

This is laughable. Texas already outrecruits the schools every single year. I think you assume that Saban at Texas will just be like taking this Alabama program to the Big 12. It wont be like that. This Alabama program took 3-4 years to really get rolling. The Big 12 teams like the other SEC teams will respond to the extra pressure of Saban as well.

Impossible, Aggies don't have anything to do with cleaning the spank booths at truck stops.

I graduated from LSU. I don't visit shaggybevo, but yes I grew up in Houston.
My boss isn't an aggie but a good amount of my high school buddies are.

Amen, been watching this clown show in person for a long time. Most people outside the state of Texas or Oklahoma have no idea.
Typical sip shite. They are turning on each other and will eat their own young. Business as usual.

Quality of life, power, tradition, history and money and media...and expectations but not crazy crazy...
1. Texas
2. USC
3. Michigan
You will get all the love you need and want from the media if you are marginally good.
Great quality of life.
Prestige.
And Power - especially Los Angeles with no Pro team.
