Fit my coaching dads prediction perfectly, “no one will want to follow Nick, it will have to be a young gun that has something to prove and probably will not fully understand what he has gotten himself into.”

Deboer has no SEC experience which I think has hurt a lot of coaches their first couple of years. Which is fine with me. And comparing recruiting at U Dub and Bama is really stupid

It’s DeBoer. There is a jet scheduled from Seattle to Tuscaloosa with an unregistered tail number and keeps pushing the departure time back. Probably waiting for deal to be signed.

Flightaware

ETA:
Or someone on the coaching changes board created a fake flight plan. In which case it is a great troll.

Four years of head coach experience at Fresno and UW, zero ties to the South. Seems like a great fit.

Did you guys forget who we hired?
Let's look at this, shall we?

Brian Kelly- 12 years at Notre Dame, a school with so much pull that it's manage to survive and thrive as an independent, that dictates what it wants to the ACC (a P4 conference), that for over 30 years has had a contract with a national network (NBC) entirely to itself

Vs

Kalen Deboer- a guy with 5 yrs at an NAIA school, 2 at a Mountain West, and now 2 at Washington- a P5 school, but not powerful enough to save the Pac 12, nor able to command much respect from the Big 12 (they're lucky they were taken, but they're not getting any money for a couple years).

Fit has more than what part of the country you're from; I just don't think Deboer is ready for the spotlight at Alafrickingbama yet.

I’m not sure that he is a great choice.

Don’t think this Greer guy is legit. Probably a Sexton burner.

Same.

He doesn't seem to be much of a recruiter so would likely do well the first year or two assuming half the team doesn't leave. Then the decline.
