Only a $2 M check for the DC of the worst LSU defense in history.
Dump him now and go grab the AM interim along with a half dozen 5 stars that can actually play defense

Will Muschamp? Schumann would be intriguing, but I doubt UGA lets him get away.

I’m not coming here to claim to know everything. I’m coming here to pass some info along to ease everyone’s mind. Don’t ask a million questions and just trust the hot sauce packet.

Matt house will coach the bowl game and has already been told directly from BK’s mouth he will not be retained moving forward.

There was some slight push back wanting to cut ties with him before the bowl game for recruiting purposes but is allowing him time to vet other opportunities. Recruiting was more of a factor than the actual play on the field believe that or not.

Half of the defensive staff will be gone next year. All following immediately after the seasons end.

Merry Christmas

Under the assumption that this is true, I'm struggling to paint a picture in my mind of how big of a shite show the defense will be for the bowl game.

Could things actually look worse than they have?

Kelly really likes Steeples, and there are a lot of people in the industry that also think very highly of him.

I've said it all year long, if there is a single coach retained on that side if the ball, it's Robert Steeples.

We'll see if this ends up being the case, but I can definitely see it.

The kids love him, and while his room struggled mightily, they also had to resort to some worst case scenarios due to personnel.

If we're going to blame him for Chesnut and Harris not playing the way they thought they would, you also have to give him credit for getting Stamps, Toviano, and the other freshman who contributed to the secondary ready to play as well.

In the end whoever ends up as DC will have the freedom to choose his own assistants, but I still think Steeples is here this time next year.

In years past it made more sense to keep coaches till after the bowl games to "allow them to seek other opportunities", but with the transfer portal and early signing period I no longer think that's the case. Sure a new hire may not be able to make a sizeable impact on early signing with only 2 weeks. But the transfer portal opens next week and ends Jan 18th. If you wait till the 15th to make a decision, you could potentially miss out on some targets.

Plus does he really deserve his bowl bonus for fielding possible one of the worst defenses in LSU history?

An alt created to be a fake insider. Love the terminology: possibility, potential, national title-even though playoff teams haven’t been announced.

Let me call up my insiders on the 4th floor of the athletic administration building. They said things are in motion. Timing is of no concern as all important parties have been notified. This will be a big hire and it’s been known on the inside since the end of October. Don’t be surprised when some big fish flip when this announcement comes out.
