They work out sometimes. The guy at Georgia Tech has 2 ranked wins in year 1

I never said it can't work. And I wouldn't trade 2019 for anything, but Orgeron should have never got the job. He was woefully unqualified.
We just saw Mississippi State fire an interim coach that got the job. For every Dabo there's 10 Zach Arnetts.

I honestly thought before the season they would be winless. 5-5 is pretty damn good so far considering the circumstances. Give him a shot.

They were 1-11 last year, and Braun wasn't part of that team.
Forget about the interim tag under the circumstances. It has really been no different than hiring a new coach from anywhere else, since again, he is new to the program this year.

He's one coach. I’m just saying, in general, interims have a poor track record.
He could be great. He's also never coached at the P5 level until now. He just got the job from FCS. He's never been a head coach either.

Do you remember how Fitzgerald got the Northwestern job? He was just a position coach until Randy Walker died a couple of months before the season, and they handed it to him.
Only difference is that Northwestern didn't slap an interim label on him at first.

It's Northwestern. Nick Saban ain't walking through that door. Win 6-7 games a year and don't ignore a hazing scandal; you will be OK.

Arnett was the interim for like a week. Not sure the players were even on campus while he was interim.
Matt Luke is a better example.
