Well yeah, but is it going to be a Joe Brady type or a Jerry Sullivan type?

We faced an A&M team with an epically horrible run defense with Fournette and Guice. Ensminger brilliantly decided to run the ball and records were set. Incredible.

That wasn’t the point of the OP.

Do you remember how those NFL teams were starting to clamor for Ensminger only to be hired as the OC by Matt Rhule and the Caroline Panthers...?

Yeah, me neither.

Ems was given free reign to install his ideal offense, and Burrow threw 16 TDs

One year later Brady put all those same players in a new offense, and Burrow threw 60.

We went from 48 TDs to 95.

32 ppg to 49.

Same QB.
Same RB.
Same WRs.
Same TE.
Same OL.

Anyone with any explanation for this other than Brady is scared and delusional.

Ems is 61, he wasnt just sitting in his office one day when he suddenly chose to run the best offense CFB has ever seen instead. if he could have done this before, he would have.

None of that means hes a bad coach however, or even a bad OC, and none of it means we're fukked.

How the new offense got here doesnt really matter, its here, we're not recruiting any fullbacks all of a sudden to go back to the I.

Most importantly, its not Joe Bradys offense. Its mostly Sean Paytons, with some of the concepts that Joe Morehead ran at Penn State mixed in. We will miss Brady dearly, Id take him over anyone, his work with the WRs alone made him invaluable, but were not dead yet. We dont actually know how much of this year was Brady innovating vs just doing what Payton would do.

What’s the actual chance that Ensminger is the OC in 3/4 Years? He’s an excellent QB coach and outstanding at improving quarterback fundamentals but the reading defenses stuff was Munoz. Ensminger helped Joe greatly especially with his accuracy but we’ll probably have a younger guy.

E was the sole OC last year

You got down voted for posting an undeniable fact.

We can argue if he was or wasn't a co-coordinator with Brady in practice, but in title there was only 1 OC.

32 ppg

that is skewed.

we had defensive scores and what boosted that average up from 27 or 28 PPG was the tAMu game.

We also scored about a TD a game from field goals.

He was the titular OC last year.

If you watch videos of the QBs/WRs practicing last year it was pretty clear which coach was running the show.

Oh god, not this shite again.

That 2016 offense was no fearsome juggernaut. All those “broken records”
No one even remembers all those broken records.

Obviously the answer is NO. But the fix is pretty easy.

Prior to last year, Joe Brady was a sharp, but inexperienced NFL Offensive Assistant who was very good at RPO concepts. I would have to assume that other young guys with similar qualities are floating around in the NFL.

Brady happened to be the perfect guy, but I can promise there are more guys that are as good or almost as good as him.
