Could O be content to roll w/ E as sole OC and Mickey Joseph as WR coach?

It’s possible he feels E has the acumen and the enlightenment from Brady to keep this offense going.

That would be a disaster.

A disaster? It would basically be the same offensive staff from 2018 with a better offensive philosophy. The 2018 team finished 6 and was a couple of plays from being 12-1.

BTW - I'm not saying I would love this, but if we miss out on our preferred candidates, I'd rather this scenario than getting another Canada who's not a good fit. THAT could be a disaster.

Agreed. E is not a coordinator and needed a 29 year old babysitter to finally make the offense work.
He’s a nice guy, but he doesn’t even really deserve to be in the booth.
“Trust O” people are to come out in droves.. but the facts don’t support E being the coordinator. I don’t care what percentage of the plays he called last year, it wasn’t his offense. It was Brady’s. Find another RPO/Spread guy and let E use his knowledge to fill in the gaps around the offense.

So the plan is to ensure 2019 was an anomaly while they revert back to the 2018 offense?

Wow a couple plays away from only losing one game 29-0. Sign me up. And its not basically the same staff when mickey was in nola recruiting while Sullivan coached the WRs.

Well, there’s an opening on the staff. You are asking if it’s ok if LSU hires no one.

No, it’s not ok.

You’ll get downvoted to Oblivion, but you’re correct.

Somehow, the “trust O” people, believe Brady showed up with a few passing plays/rpo concept and SE did everything else...ignoring his past failures as an OC and became an absolute Offensive mastermind and play calling guru!

you realize Coach E broke records in 2016 with Cam Cameron's offense and Danny Etling as QB??

So, you're saying 2018 was a "disaster"?

Or you hold Jerry Sullivan in such high regard that you think there's no way we could replicate the success of 2018 without him?

Either way

You're satisfied with 2nd in the west as the team's ceiling as long as the good ol etoufee boys get to be in charge.

GTFO with this shite. Where did I say I was satisfied with that?

But 2nd in the West and having the Alabama game actually matter again was not a fricking "disaster".

I guess I'm unique in that I can discern the difference between dissatisfaction and disaster.

Yes, that offense finished 60th in nation. Looked good against lesser competition and avg at best against top 25

In 2018, coach E had the 70th ranked offense with Joe Burrow and struggled against better competition.

Those 2 examples fall right in line with his career as an OC...that’s a fact.

SE didn’t become an over night Guru Bc Brady showed up with a new play book and gave him a few tips during the game.
