First...Lets say Kiffin Wins a NC this year at Ole Miss. Do you really think he will celebrate with his team (Big parade in Oxford & Going to White House and meet Trump) and the next day call a presser and announce he is leaving for LSU, Florida, or any other team? Answer,,,,NO!

Secondly...Do you honestly think Saban will take the job and dis-respect the folks at Alabama by playing at Bryant-Denny Stadium on NIck Saban field as the coach at LSU? .Answer...NO

Verge and Co. are looking beyond these to another candidate..

Ole Miss will never win a national championship. Doubt they get past the 1st round.

Okay, but Lane won't win a championship this year. So why not push for him?

Florida is giving it all they've got to get him, and he's listening.

Yea well they won’t win the championship, but let’s say pigs fly, he would not participate in a parade and I doubt he would go to the White House a year later, as a Coach of another team.

You’re thinking way too hard.

Dude. They are Ole Miss. I fully expect them to lose to Florida and State to close out the year.

Brother you don’t have to worry about Ole Miss winning a national championship in football. For one that defense won’t hold up against playoff caliber teams. The UGA game is a good example. Heck Arkansas lit their defense up like a Christmas tree

Holy shite

This whole time I thought it was gonna be:

1) Saban
2) Kiffin

And then if that didn’t work they’d shut down the football program

Are you telling me that there’s actually a backup plan if plan A and plan B fail?!!

Won't have to worry about this. He has a good team but they ain't winning the title.

Ole Miss will never be a real winner. They may be very good but I believe in culture and the culture at Ole Miss is "I'm happy with 9 or 10 wins"

The same at Texas AM although Elko may be changing that.

I'd also say it would be stupid for Kiffin to sign a deal prior to the end of the season. He wants to bet on himself to be able to drive up the price for himself with a successful season. Signing in week 10 ain't gonna ensure his best options.

Just like Les Miles to Michigan was a real thing, sometimes timing of events forces you to adjust on the fly.

The odds of Kiffin winning the natty with that Ole Miss team is pretty slim. If Kiffin is LSU's target, I think they will wait for him. If, by some chance, Ole Miss wins the title, Kiffin will have a decision after the season.

With the way things have gone down since the BK firing, they very well may not.

It may be Nick, Lane or just frick it roll with Frank

To think otherwise puts unearned faith in the LSU brain trust

Now that our new University President removed the interim tag from Verge then said he didn’t really know what interim vs permanent means,

Are you still feeling cocky and confident?

Saban's biggest regret was leaving LSU for Miami. He has expressed regret over it professionally and personally as he hates what it did to his time in Louisiana and to the fans. He is not going to make the same mistake twice and ruin the standing he has at Bama and amongst their fans. Just will not happen, not even a possibility.
