you are right, but let's think about this for a second. If Random, jbraua, and the media is right our top 3 are Jimbo, O, and Fedora....

Jimbo is a retread from last years rumor/coaching change, O was on the staff. That means the best they came up with is Larry Fedora....... HOLY shite!!!!

Sorry but this is not really a "search" in my opinion. Just praying that it turns out good!!

I just hope that if LSU doesn't/can't retain Coach O, he doesn't go to Alabama and pull Louisiana recruits there for years.

I think Jimbo is the best coach available for us. And he's attainable. Saying he's the clear favorite is very telling about where we are in this process.

Saying O is #2 is to keep the fans who want him (and probably O himself) happy since he's done well.

Fedora is a fall back plan for Jimbo, but I think we will be fine.

Jimbo is being brought up again because he has the 3rd best resume as a HC in all of college football.

To say he's a 'retread' is idiotic at best, but probably closer to retarded.

LSU needs great recruiters. With the loss of Miles, Wilson and possible O (assuming he would bolt if Jimbo is hired), we would lose the 3 best of the best recruiters, and don't fool yourself. recruiting is at least 80% of the game of college football.

Hey dumbass, I didn't say Jimbo was a shite hire, he is a retread in the retrospect he was "the guy" last year when everything fell apart. And the point was "this really is not a search", they just brought back their choice from last year (recycled, retread, whatever) then added two more names that most consider 2nd tier guys. Why wouldn't they be interviewing multiple top tier guys, we end up "settling" for a 2nd tier guy because their weren't prepared to be turned down by Jimbo....could end up being a colossal failure. As much time as they have had, it just looks lazy to me

Then where did the rumors that his kid goes to Minneapolis to see a specialist come from?

They actually have better doctors at the Mayo clinic than in Tallahassee, believe it or not. People go there from around the country.

Just fyi..

Thompson and lacouture are getting medical redshirt baw....so there's that.

The biggest position loss is linebacker....but that's aranda strength...we have studs in the waiting everywhere else.

The biggest team loss is leadership...it's a shame it was wasted this year...

Not sure...hope not. I checked the interwebs and he hasn't officially said that he will take the redshirt so I guess it's still up in the air.... I would think he could come back and earn some money next year.

In what capacity would he go to Bama? I doubt he goes to Bama to be a position coach when there's going to be other HC jobs open that he could be getting consideration for if LSU wins out.
