I'm just ready for it to hit so we can start fresh with a clean slate after the shite storm is over. Les has had a fantastic run at LSU and I'm grateful for it but he's not the competent CEO he once was that surrounded himself with good hires and let his players ball out.

I want LSU to win national championships or at least be in contention for that. Outside of a fluke year in 2011 which is 4 years ago, Les has not delivered on that since 2007 which is 8 years ago. Its clear he's not a national championship caliber coach at this point in his career. So it's going to have to get worse before it can get better.

I'm still blown away Miles promoted a fricking LB coach to the DC position when there were some really capable DC's ready to take the reigns here. How did this make sense to anyone?

There is a possibility that this two week sham of a search went on as long as it did because no quality coach wants to work with Les at LSU and Steele was all he could get and he had to settle.

TAMU was 110th and 112th in FBS for yards allowed two yrs in a row. Not to mention LSU had better 3RD down defense since 2010 and probably before that than TAMU.
You think we give a shite about "3rd and Chavis". Well, at least you guys won't have to put up with Chavis anymore. It is obvious he was a piss poor D coordinator who lost dozens of games over the years because he played too soft of a defense.

What i don't understand is if Miles was going to hire a position coach to fill the DC spot, then why didn't he promote one of his own Def. Assistants? If I am Haley i am thinking "WTF". I can't see it sitting well with him. Who knows. As a fan I hope this hire pans out. But at face value it doesn't seem like the best hire LSU could have made.
