What are Orgeron's qualifications to coach LSU?

What has he done that makes him qualified to be the next LSU coach?

If I were looking for a coach with $6-7M per year to spend, why would it be him?

Convince me. Help me understand. Make me believe.

He has no background whatsoever to make me think he can win here.

Now, if he had at least scored some on Alabama and beaten Florida, I might have been able to be convinced. But, the offensive disaster I saw in those games and the utter confusion from the coaches led me to believe that is in over his head.

Uh, he just played bama tougher than anyone will this year. He will go 7-2 including a bowl win. What about that says he can't coach?

Because we didn't get Jimbo or Herman that would be the only reason. And I guess because the players love him and he can recruit. frick that's all I got.

This. He may not be an Xs and Os guy. Not every coach with the same job title will take on the same responsibilities. Some HCs run defense or offense. Others just delegate. He can motivate a team and recruit, and I'm sure he can be trusted to at least know who would be a good OC hire.

I think whoever we end up with will be an improvement over Miles. I'm not hoping for O or anyone in particular. If it is him, it won't be the end of the world.

Who could you possibly hire that can recruit better in Louisiana than O? in the SEC? He was recruiter of the year in 2004.

Who has more big time program experience than O? (Jumbo maybe but not Herman)

Who has learned more lessons that O? The man has coached with Jimmy Johnson, Tommy Tubberville, Paul Hackett, Pete Carroll, Lane Kiffin and Les Miles. He has committed to hiring good assistants AND letting them do their job. (he says his refusal to let coaches do their job at Ole Miss was his biggest problem)

He has demonstrated twice that he can take teams in turmoil and make them successful.

What's your excuse for losing to Florida, a game we were favored to win by 2 touchdowns? Funny how everyone that supports O leaves that part out. I don't even think Les Miles lost a game he was favored by 2 touchdowns in.

Auburn and Wisconsin are both better than UF, so we'd be looking at about 8-4 with the most talented LSU team since 2011. Why did we even fire Miles if we were going to accept 2 to 4 losses in the good years? Does anyone give a shite about trying to win the SEC anymore or has Alabama beat us into submission?

Well he has done it before, so there's that.

This discussion only makes sense when you have a basis of comparison though. What's the other option?

Why do people keep spouting this bullshite.

Ole Miss scored 43 and lost by 5, not 10. And they were up by 20+ at one point.
