This a great coup for LSU. Sure Kelly is a dick but he can set the program straight after the clown show that just left. No nonsense guy. Not much personality but he knows how to structure a program. Didn’t care for him at ND but now he’s our dick!!

Best you can do besides Saban. Hell of a coach with a no nonsense attitude. Would have already won a title if he was at a public school with lesser admission standards. I keep hearing on the National media how they don’t know if he would gel down here. This is exactly what we need. We haven’t had a no nonsense guy since Saban.

Kelly is a good coach in his own right, but a big benefit of this hire is he will attract and coach up great coaching talent. There's a reason Freeman went that direction.
He's older, and not a super sexy hire, but he obviously wants the challenge, which is good, and will bring good coaches with him.
Not an A+ hire, but a solid B+, maybe A. Better than a anyone on the realistic list outside of maybe Rhule and Fickell. He's in the Campbell/Riley tier, which Riley is not a part of given how he didn't want the SEC challenge.
Way better than Napier and that group.
