I like Travis and generally agree with much of what he says. However, I think he is wrong for being one of the ringleaders in this debacle. I get not wanted Schiano as the HC (LSU fans just went through having Ed Ogeron named as HC last season). But this public mutiny is going to hurt Tennessee. They want an "established" HC. But what "established" HC is going to want to walk into that dumpster fire right now? The AD (good, bad, or otherwise) was essentially usurped by fans AND dip-shite state legislators because the coach he chose wasn't "good enough" for a program that just went WINLESS in the SEC.
Schiano wasn't a great choice. But frankly, the fans would have brought out their pitchforks for anyone NOT named Jon Gruden. Now you have given the fans unwarranted power. And they did it by basically torpedoing a coach's career over unvalidated allegations. Other coaches won't forget that. If Schiano were a big time coach UT fans wouldn't have given less of a shite about the "Sandusky issue".
