Not really sold on this OC.

ESPN

47th in yards per game per this link.

Another link had them at 11th in points per game. But remember they were in the AAC. Why not go after young Briles?

Denbrock may or may not be a good fit for LSU, but why would you ever care about yards instead of points?

Cause it’s a better indication of a good offense?

2011 LSU averaged a ton of points per game but that was a terrible offense.

That being said, I think cincy was pretty damn high in yds/play … which is the best indicator of all.

Yeah I would take a great offense that scores 6 pts a game any day.

who gives a shite on yards per game if you're raking up almost 40 points per game? That means they run a lot when they get big leads up to drain the clock. I will give you that their defense was so good it probably inflated those numbers a bit though. That's the question here.

Our offense was on fire until Les started juggling Lee and Jefferson. It was very good until 9-6, so many people blatantly misremember the offense that season based on how bad we looked with Jefferson at the helm

Points can also be a reflection of intangibles, special teams, and defense.

I’m also less of a fan of yards because that’s not a very precise measure of efficiency in moving the ball. Let’s measure efficiency in both running the ball and in passing:

11th in the nation in average per carry
10th in the nation in passing efficiency

Ok now let’s see what Cincy would be like with Brennan, Boutte, Besh, emery, etc on the field.

And fill in the blank is/was the DC at Bama. There are some on here that really don’t know what it’s like to have a coach be capable of coaching one side of the ball. Miles and Orgeron have completely dummied down thr LSU fanbase.
