My cousin’s friend is a very high Boise St. booster who is good friends with Chris. He was instrumental in keeping him at Boise for so long.
He tells me that Chris has not been officially offered the LSU job, but he is in contact with Scott (and has been since last year) and is willing to listen. He is happy in retirement but the LSU job is appealing to him.
