It’s not about the money right now because he will make 6 million the next 2 years because that’s what the 49ers will owe him . Unless he can get someone to pay him more then 6 million a year his pay doesn’t matter the next 2 years. UF is the better job of the 3 for the next 2 years and the future. The number is what my guy told me as well earlier.
So I take it as true
I thought it was low too, but it's because Chip is already making money and wants it more for coaching staff.
However; UF still has to spend money. The idea is Chip wants a large amount for coaching hires he wants to make. Helfrich will be one or Day, both will cost around 1.5 million I would assume. DC who knows.
John doesn't know the exact amount of money he is seeking for assistants, but I think it's more of an agreement that UF will provide the necessary funds to make sure Chip can hire exactly who he wants basically.
I heard 5.2 million though. Which I stil lthought was pretty low.
