I think he does. You coach there for 5 years and you finally reach the pinnacle of everything you've worked for only to leave? No way. He's using this to get more money out of them and a commitment to spending more on NIL and buying a roster.

LSU is a perennial dumpster fire that now has governor-meddling issues.

I think he stays with the Rebs.

No way this goes the way it's gone if he has decided to stay at Ole Miss. He wouldn't do this to himself and his wife and kids. This is all about timing and trying to convince Ole Miss to let him coach a potential SEC Title game.

The Ole Miss people have already turned on him. It would be awkward if he ended up staying.

It's kind of like when a spouse cheats and the other takes them back. Even though they took them back, they never forget or even forgive.
