Where is BengalBrian when you need him?
Posted on 12/30/09 at 4:49 pm to 756
sounds like he may be leaning that way.
Or setting up for a damn strong football team speech on friday.
Who is available to replace him if hes out?

Sounds Sabanesque.
Gone for sure. This isnt good for the program. 3rd D -Coordinator in three years is not gonna cut it.

You're not the first person who posted something along these lines so I'm not coming down on just you but this line of thinking is just idiotic. Is Chavis a good DC? Absolutely! Is he irreplaceable? Not at all. Does it reflect poorly on the LSU program if he goes to UGA for $100k more a year? NO!

If they offer, he's gone.
Even though we reportedly offered him a mega raise to stay?

If he was offered a mega raise, why not just come out and say you are staying, if in fact you were?

Yeah, I don't know. The whole thing is odd... maybe they told him to wait till after the bowl to announce the new contract?
Posted on 12/30/09 at 5:08 pm to OBUDan
It seems pretty clear he is at least willing to listen, so at best he's undecided.

I hope this is not true.

kind of wish he leaves so BP can shut all those fricks up on the CC board.

Yeah, that'd be my best guess.
He was offered raise and has been contacted through back channels by UGA... told Miles he wants to hear them out first and then he'd make his decision.

Wow!
If a witness answered those two questions in a courtroom like Chavis did, I'd definitely tell the jury that the witness does not want to tell the truth.
Chavis completely avoided those two questions when it would have been very easy to simply say that he is staying at LSU.

Let him go if he wants to go.
He could have easily said he will be the defensive coordinator at LSU next season, but didn't.
If he's not committed to staying at LSU for the long term and already wants to explore options, good riddance.

really! here only one year and shopping jobs

Is LSU committed to staying with him for the long term?
I don't think he reached out to explore his options.
I think Georgia reached out to him.
There's a big difference.
