Not sure if his buyout applies to a move up to NFL or not, would be a move to NFL OC, don’t see him leaving for a QB coach job or anything

It’s time to cut this clown loose. Either he wants to be here or he doesn’t

Calm down man, he’s not out there actively looking for another job, this is just speculation that the Giants will likely come calling due to his having worked with Dart.

He’s LSU’s OC, him calling plays at OM doesn’t mean he’s not dedicated to LSU

Will he even “make it to campus”?

Drug charges, murderers using his apartment, kicking a guy’s head in a bar fight, or something is bound to be incoming

Maybe I’m wrong but the one thing I loved about Kiffin hire is the fact it will ultimately be his offense and the OC’s role is what he trusts him with and we don’t have to panic about OC’s leaving like we have been. The DC will always be a big hire but will take that with it being an offensive driven game now a days.
Charlie improved his OC stock after calling the game against UGA the other day without Kiffin on sideline even though his hands all over that offense and probably helped with gameplan, but Charlie deserves the attention and as much as I want the duo together at LSU we all know he’s a name to watch for any OC opening out there.

GM’s and ownership have alot of say in assistants. If they hire a defensive guy they could tell him CWJ will be his OC and it’s either accept or not take the job, they likely just go with it

Daboll was making 5 million as a head coach, how much you think they willing to pay an OC?

Don’t matter-it’s Kiffin’s offense anyway

Seems like some wet noodles being thrown against the wall for clicks because anything related to our situation and coaches is sure fire traffic right now.

I think it’s safe to say there is nothing to worry about until they hire a head coach.

He’d be taking a nice pay cut

Maybe, maybe not. Chip Kelly was making like $6mil as the Raiders OC this year. No idea what the NFL average is though.

No maybe about it. Kellen Moore was the highest paid last year at $2.5mm. Chip Kelly was a drastic outlier. The average is only around a million.

Average of a million is from 4 years ago. It's all kept private so it's all largely a guess.

Kellen Moore making $2.5 "was thought to be on the higher end" - but even that was a guess.

If he wanted to work in the pros, he would’ve been there already. He would be taking a pay cut. Another 1-2 years with LSUs athletes will get him looks for a head job.

Even if he doesn’t go to the nfl he won’t be here more than 2 seasons

He’s gonna be a hot name for college HC jobs next year

Yep. When he's here every announcer is gonna be talking him up thinking they're spiting Lane.

Honestly the oddest thing about this is the Giants leaking that they might force an OC on the head coach before they even started that hiring process. Kinda what makes me think it's complete bs.

They're trying to finalize the details with kiffin before they announce the HC
