It's pretty amazing. This could be very similar to the LSU situation last year. We'll see.

They literally want him to be humiliated, why even let Charlie have that press conference. That man looks like a beat up dog. Then Texas wants people to believe that they are going to evaluate him after the TCU game?? Give me a break

this here is good news for LSU.

focus on Texas and Strong, media rips apart Texas, and LSU quietly goes about their business this week.

He ain't lyin.

Mack left it in disarray. He has done a very good job rebuilding and restocking the talent. The new coach is taking over a pretty solid roster and something like 18 returning starters next year.

Texas is going to look really bad if they fire him after this to fester.

It isn't. It's plain and simple. They are letting him coach the last game on the schedule.

If Strong were to be fired by now, we wouldn't let him coach the last game of the season.

The team is 5-6. A win could get them to bowl eligibility. That is weeks of extra practice for the players. They'll let an interim run the team if they were to beat TCU.

I mean, the way they're still handling this isn't good, especially with the fact that Strong is for sure going to be fired at the end of this.

I disagree. The negotiations for his buyout, coaching the TCU game (which he should), and public announcements should have been handled yesterday. After agreement is reached, he tells the coaches, then the team, and then an official statement is made, saying he's terminated effective at the end of the TCU game, which he will be coaching. Then today's presser is not just him trying to deflect - it's unprofessional to send him up like this (and I'm not a Strong fan BTW).

A "firing" doesn't mean it's effective immediately. Many examples of that.

I mean, some on, the loss to Kansas required his termination and everyone knows/knew that.

The Texas AD is (and has been for many years) quite reactive and not proactive. They're never prepared for what might happen.

If LSU fans did a "March for Miles" in the past, Texas players need to "Stroll for Strong".

One more year!!
