CEO has proven to go with the best available OC

The first thing CEO did as interim HC was fire Cameron. That is a bold thing to do when you don't have anyone left on staff with recent OC coaching experience. He then went with the best OC that he had and the offense has been whipping the crap out of every defense save for bama's since that move. There is no reason to believe that should he get the head gig, he will bring in the best available OC to compliment the best available DC on staff. I'm not saying CEO is the answer. But if he wins out with a victory in the Sugar Bowl he will undoubtedly be the fan favorite and his biggest decision to make will be an OC.

There's no way in hell Aranda sticks around if O becomes coach. Some you CEO lovers need to accept this. The man was his boss 5 weeks ago and now you expect him to answer to him? Not only that, but who the frick is CEO going to bring in as an OC? Kiffin? Slim chance. Who else is even out there? Really good OCs end up as head coaches. You want to become a revolving door for coordinators to vault their careers? What does that say to a kid coming in that he's going to have to learn 2 or 3 different playbooks in his time at school?

Does anyone know for sure that was his move? What i mean is it is very possible Alleva told him his first order of business is to get rid of Cam.

I don't think Coach O is being seriously considered by LSU. I think when Miles was fired, Aleva he needed someone who would handle the situation and keep the dumpster from catching on fire. CEO was the most obvious choice since he had experience. I think O told him the only way he would do it was if they would give him a shot at being the HC. Aleva told him what he wanted to hear, just as USC did before. CEO IS auditioning for a HC job, just not the one at LSU.

It was a tight ends coach trying to call plays against the best defense in the land while his offensive line was getting blown up and his quarterback couldn't complete the passes that he had been completing against other defenses. Plays were called that should have kept the chains moving, but execution on the field didn't allow any points to be scored. If you have ever played Madden football with a poor offense against a much better defense you will understand. No matter what you call, if your players can't catch the football, break through the defensive line on run plays, or the quarterback can't throw the ball anywhere close to the receivers, you can't score, get frustrated, and your buddy laughs at you.

If you're happy with the results from Coach O you need to be on board with keeping Ensminger. Ensminger would be responsible for the change we've seen in the offense, not Coach O.

Word has it that he doesn't want the job full time. He has done very well with the hand that he was dealt, which is a good one. He had the talent to work with and a playbook already in place that needed tweaking or in some opinions a full rewrite. I think we can do better though. The Bama game proved that.

People on here make O sound like he's an idiot and knows nothing. How do we know he isn't behind some of the offensive changes? Also, why did the defense start playing better when he became coach? Who says he can't bring in a top notch OC?
