You are either high or didn't read the subject you gave this thread. How has he proven he will hire the best available oc? Because he supposedly fired the best friend of the coach he replaced who we have no proof ever hinted that he was willing to work for O. Cmon man. Threads like this are as stupid as the ones claiming how inept O is. Lets see how the season plays out and lets see who shows interest in our job.

The defense started playing better because they were under a first year defensive coordinator still putting his system in.
The offense is relatively the same. Aside from a few more passes in the early downs they have dominated the lines like they did the first 7 games last year.
Once again, you can't keep orgeron and get rid of Ensminger when he said he lets his coaches coach. Ensminger has been running the offense. A flashy offensive coordinator would not look good in this system.
Its time to bring some new blood into the program and rejuvenate it

Wow. So much wrong in this post I don't even know where to start.

1. Aranda isn't going anywhere. We will make him the highest paid DC in the country.

2. Aranda saw first hand the differences in Miles and Orgeron. Orgeron praises him every chance he gets and lets him do his job. There is zero reason to believe Aranda would have a problem working under O.

3. With the resources at LSU, finding good coordinators shouldn't be a problem. 95% of coaches would love to come here and believe it or not, Orgeron has a lot of great connections across the country in college football. He'll be fine.

4. How often do you see really good coaches stay at one place more than 4-5 years? It's very rare and will happen no matter who our HC is. But that also doesn't mean kids will have to learn "2 or 3" playbooks during their time here either. This is just a stupid, unfounded reason to be concerned.

Orgeron has done an amazing job IMO as interim coach. The way that he was able to keep this team together after the Miles firing, inspire them to actually believe in the long shot possibilities that remained was amazing.

His ability to get the team back up this week after a tough loss against Bama was also extremely impressive.

Having said that...

* Orgeron doesn't have the resume for this job
* It's easy to want to believe that the offense has been great...but, the reality is that our offense has always clicked when we were able to run the ball effectively. Missouri, Ole Miss, and Arkansas were taylor made for this team.
* When we played a great defense capable of stopping our run, we were completely shut down, just like the Miles tenure. There were no wrinkles, formations, adjustments that worked...at all

LSU needs to make the best hire it can. It's not an insult to suggest that Ogeron simply isn't a candidate for this job. This is a top 5 job in the country and despite the fact that I love Orgeron and what he's done, he's not the calibre of coach we should be hiring.
