So you're saying O has a "want" to win championships, but may not have the "chest"?

Swapping OC's would be a step in the right direction.

I was told that E is stepping down from the role as OC but I could see this scenario. More of a “stepping aside” situation than “stepping down”.

This!

You bring in the next OC to be Co-OC. That way, SE gets paid, as he should, and O saves face!

If the that move is made, I'm fine with it. But if the move is made and Sean S. is brought in as the Co-OC, I'll sit back and watch CEO last year as HC.

The 3rd year is the "money" year for a coach! Not only on extension and talk of new contract, but this is fully your team and recruits. If LSU is 8-4/9-3, 3rd in west with putrid offense again, what exactly has changed from previous staff?

Means Sullivan is gone and a new WR coach will be added, shocker given his 1yr contract is up.

QB coach will be added to staff...SS as QB/Co-OC. (not to be taken serious)

if the word is "some changes" that means the staff feels nothing is wrong with scheme/playcalling, just need better execution....sounds very familiar.

I agree, no moves will be formally announced until after early signing period.

No respectable OC is coming here to be “Co-OC” with Steve Ensminger. Here is what is going to happen: Orgeron will hire a QB Coach / Passing Game Coordinator to assist Steve in leading the 100th ranked offense in the nation.

Its known that SE didn't want the OC job to begin with. Why does everybody think he's going to cling to it now? I think he goes back to a position and we bring in an OC.

Kingsbury is not taking a college OC job. Briles seems like a good option, but Freeze seems the best choice and most realistic.

Kinda what I was expecting. Steve steps aside, bright young mind comes with new ideas. Steve doesn’t technically get a demotion.

As far as coaches leaving, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Sullivan, Robinson, or Cregg leave. I like Cregg in theory, but the line was inexcusably bad this year.

Does anyone with knowledge of the team have a clue as to why the line was poor?

Doesn't mean shite if he keeps making Ensminger tier hires. Coach O is a charmer, it's what made him a good recruiter all of those years.

They were young, inexperienced, and had no depth. Along with losing our best one before the season. injuries never allowed them to gain any continuity, which is huge for an OLine. It was a different starting 5 every week for the first half of the season. Also we have too many guards and not enough tackles. Add to that we had our worst RB talent in 20 years that can usually mask some of the Oline deficiencies. This is what O meant by saying it wasn't the scheme, it was lack of talent vs Alabama. (it was both, but he wasn't totally wrong.)

Id argue that Clegg did a great job patching up the line all season with all those obstacles. Before calling for the guy's head, you have to ask what he did wrong, and what he could have done better? not much with the hand he was dealt.

to me he's on the same level as miles in his last few years. not going to tank the program but he's not going to compete for titles. 9 wins is about what we are looking at with him. thus making the entire point of firing miles pointless.

Honestly? It looked like we had implemented a zone blocking scheme but didn't teach any of the linemen what their reads were for the scheme.
