With Lovie Smith fired I would expect Dirk Koetter to be named head coach within the week. They still will interview a few other candidates.

He's been awful, and the Tampa 2 system blows

Sounds like they fired Lovie so they could keep Koetter as HC and still have his offense.
What's more important to the development of a franchise QB? Not Lovie's defense apparently...

Lovie's defense didn't have a lot to do with the teams improvement

And that's why it seems they rather just keep Koetter's offense intact and hire someone to run the defense.
Changing D schemes is risky though, gotta stay in the same ballbark with the nucleus they've built...

Unless they have an absolute home run hire in the works, as a Bucs fan I'm pissed. The team was improving under Lovie and doing it with a young QB coming into his own.
The Glazers are fricking awful.

That's really surprising

This exactly. Lovie should of never been hired. Tampa should avoid Coughlin. The defense wasn't improving and fell apart at the end

The bucs lost 4 straight. Please don't hire Koetter. Gase and a good DC would do wonders.

This situation is exactly why I wanted the Saints to retain Sean Payton. Shitty franchises play the coaching carousal. I want no part of that.

Jimbo to the bucs?!?
Posted on 1/6/16 at 11:01 pm to hendersonshands
2nd team that shouldn't have fired him.

That 8-24 record didn't help doe.
