Tampa will never be able to lure a good coach with their horrible track record in firing coaches.
Of course take the money, but no job security sucks.

Their future coach is already on the staff.

Then how is it a "dumb move" to fire one of them?

As an ASU fan that had Dirk Koetter as an actual HC, I'm very intrigued on how well he does if he's hired as the main guy. Dude had an unstoppable offense at ASU, but the defense also gave up 40+ points on the regular. We literally had to score last to win. He started learning defense was important his last year at ASU, but by then it was too late. I think I would have kept him one more year. Dennis Erickson used that same talent to go 10-3 the following year... Sigh.

He had horrible charisma with the media too back then. Literally, "Yes", "No", and go. LOVED ASU though. His house had a outdoor ASU decor basketball court. No BS kind of guy.

I'll be rooting for him.

If it's Koetter, I'd think Mike Smith will probably be the dc.

You think that would happen though? Pride would be a big block IMO.

Chances are good. Of course it depend on him not getting a hc gig.
