Second, you don't think Woodward threw everything he possibly could at the top coach(es) on his list? I'm sure he's using every last dollar, incentive, and sales pitch he's got to land his top target or two. Sometimes it just doesn't work out and those targets may not want to leave where they are for reasons that the AD can't fix.
So rest assured, IF the hire turns out to be someone that's a little further down the list then Woodward threw everything he had in his pocket to land his top guys on the wishlist, and it just didn't happen for reasons outside of his control.
And you want to fire one of the best, most well-renowned ADs in the country over shite that he couldn't control

He broke the story that Riley was going to be the Offensive Coordinator at OU. He broke the story that Riley was replacing Stoops as the head coach at OU. He has very good sources inside OU.

Feldman broke the story on both positions at OU that Riley got hired for. Where do you think that information came from? I'll give you a hint, it wasn't outside of OU.
