But I thought he was an amazing recruiter? Which is it brah

He pulls top 15, with occasional top 10 or better. He’s 4 right now at ND.

We all know that’s better than ND has done since Holtz and the return of academic restrictions. However, we all also know you can’t compete with Bama, OSU, UGA, etc with a top 15 roster. That’s not enough, but it’s the ceiling there.

So if you put him here with the same players as Orgeron I guarantee you he would have a better record than Orgeron.

Anybody that brings up this shite can take your arse to the back. Go be a fan of the faggies.

ACC teams are hit and miss. They used to play both Michigans. USC and Stanford used to be much better.

Talent gap due to admission standards at ND

They have had top 15 ranked classes each the past 5 years, with one year ranked above LSU

It’s not having victories that’s the problem. It’s having the losses.

Exactly, what was O’s record against top 10 opponents?

Can’t spin this hire as anything other than what it is, we swung for the fences and ended up settling for a guy most Norte Dame fans are happy to see go.

Now do every single football coach we've ever hired in the history of our program?

Biggest problem I have with the deal is if it’s true about the 100+million dollar contract. Why? He wasn’t in the top 50 in salaries and schools weren’t beating down his door. Why pay so damn much?

Bingo: somebody has some intelligence. Composite ACT at Notre Dame is 34!, SAT is 1475. the Min allowed to get a scholarship at ND is I think 23!

Lots of recruits that He can not recruit and then go against the Bama's, LSU's, Clemson's who can recruit without restrictions and only require the NCAA minimum for D1 which GPA is I think 2.3. There is a formula that combines GPA with ACT so with a 2.8, you can make a 15 and still get in.

Hey dummy they have the fourth ranked recruiting class in the nation so how is that at a loss? He sucks in big games get it through your skull

Bruh…

Go check Sabans stats at Michigan St before coming to LSU.

ND has a ceiling that has been met. He can’t get the players needed to win it all.

At LSU he will have the players.

Book your tickets baby!!!

Have Aranada and Napier even played a top 10 team. I don't think so.

Sometimes it’s not who you play but when. That can be a misleading statistic. In a more competitive conference with “slightly lower” admission standards that could be much different. Plus we need a better breed of student athlete than we have had in some areas of the team. Not all. We have some great kids already. I’m kind of excited to see how we jell.

That record in 12 years at ND shows you that he hasn't faced the type of competition he will here. He will play as many top 10 teams in 3 years at LSU. He will get better talent but a MUCH harder schedule.

I think its a good hire btw. There are reasonable concerns though.
