Bo Davis to Texas as DL Coach per Horns247

That's a really good pick up for them. So are we sticking with the LSU wanted him but because of his past recruiting issues they wouldn't let him on or that Texas just paid more.

Wrong. The holdup was on the SEC's end. He's not cleared to coach in the SEC which is probably why he didn't end up here. LSU has enough baggage on their table to get Bo cleared here.

it was more along the lines of he is outs if we get clearance and want to risk the NCAA scrutiny. Apparently we didn't and the pay boards all but said we were not going to risk it even though he was the #1 choice all things being equal.

He prolly did tell Sark to reach out to Davis bc Saban really likes Bo. Pretty strong rumors that Saban tested the waters to get him back as well as Freeze, and was told no by the SEC. These conspiracy theories are
