I would think that BK would hire a DC first, then the position coaches. The fact that he's taking this long to announce a DC, kinda makes me think whoever it is, their season isn't over yet.

If we really want him, an extra $444K should not be a deal breaker. Look at how much dead money we are already paying to former coaches, from Orgeron to the guys who were just let go. Now is not the time to get cheap.

This is what I'm saying. They just paid 5 mil for shitty coaches to go away. And the was only 1 yr of salary.

He was never coming because we weren’t paying over a million for a position coach when we have to pay $5 million in buyouts plus hire Baker and his salary. We are LSU, people will line up for that DL spot.

Plus, maybe there's another DL coach that BK feels good about that takes $700k or whatever.
I'm not remotely suggesting we go cheap. I'm suggesting there are many DL coaches out there and more value available. LSU has money to spend, not to throw away
