It all starts with elite QB play. When is the last time an USC QB succeeded in the NFL. It was Carson Palmer. Any NFL GM or coach putting their jobs on the line with an USC QB is asking to be fired.

when is the last time a guy who barely called any plays and never was an OC became an OC in the NFL

Rhule was pissed last week because Brady called a billion passes and few runs.

its not about the QB.

Brady found lighting in the bottle here, that ship has long sailed.

was in charge of 3rd down and red zone. didn't call the plays, but was sure to accept all of the accolades that came with it

I think it's quite obvious that it was Joe Burrow, not Joe Brady, that is responsible for the greatest season ever. He had quite a surrounding cast also. Elmer Fudd could have won a championship with that team. Oh wait, he did!!

He gave a lot of credit to Ensminger. Several times.

Why wasn’t E courted by Texas and the NFL after that run if Brady was useless?

Blame Rhule for hiring Brady, not signing Darnold. Apparently Brady was pro Darnold as a result of studying up on him and other personnel while prepping for his interview with the Jets last season.

This much is certain - Joe Burrow made Brady and Ogeron a TON of money. Hope they take care of him at Christmas, birthday's and other life events in perpetuity.

You guys are relentless in defending Brady, all things point to it being his fault, do you guys not watch the Panthers at all?

His complete inability to adjust to his personnel and refusal to run the dam ball is maddening!

never said he was useless. i simply stated the play calling arrangement of the 2019 season. if that is inaccurate please correct it.

Because he was 62 years old and had made it known he was retiring soon?

Which Brady may never have again at LSU. We need someone that can coach up a QB that wants to play here. Like Rogers at Miss. St., or Corral at OM, or Jefferson at Arky, or Hooker at TN. You put a QB like that with our recruits, and you win.

Brady seems to only when when he is handed top talent.

I think Brady could be an absolute stud of an OC at some point. I think what we're seeing is the seasoned play caller not being next to him. There's a lot to be said about just having the experience under your belt to know how to plan for the flow of the game. I think Brady, when given the "take a shot"/"pull back, melt clock" type mentorship, calls masterful plays. I think he just gets overly aggressive when the game situation doesn't call for it.
