This will be interesting. Arkie St always makes fun hires. Hud? Mike MacIntyre who is down the road at Memphis as DC might also fit the bill of the bounceback candidate they might look at.

News: Blake Anderson is Utah State’s pick to become the Aggies’ next head coach. The two sides met in person earlier this week and a deal is being finalized currently. Original plan was to have Anderson coach at A State through Saturday before the IW game was cancelled

As of yesterday Anderson was in touch with multiple P5 assistants about coming to Logan. USU wants to put together a noticeable staff

Is USU considered a jump from A-State? I am assuming he is getting more money for himself/staff.

Glad for Anderson and StAte. He seemed like he was losing steam there. Wonder what future SEC coach they will hire.

It was probably time to leave. In his 7th year and had his first losing season.

Seems like they always go for a young up and comer and it’s worked out. Blake Baker, Miami DC?

I’m sure after losing his wife, a new place might be good for him.

Forgot about that. And no offense to Jonesboro but Logan is a major upgrade for someone looking for new scenery.

Better conference and probably a nice payraise.

I bet he will be the #1 target. Knows the state and was OC for Gus there. Not sure he would take it though.

I don't think he is gonna be able to make that big of a jump. StAte fans would probably go ballistic if they hired a high school coach. I reeeeeeally wanna see him at the D1 level though. He would turn some heads and I want to see the never punt strat at the highest level of football.

Why would he hold out? I think most of the last 4-5 hires at Arkansas St. have gone on to better coaching gigs. Anderson, Malzahn, Harsin. Didn't Freeze coach there before Ole Miss? I may be missing others.

Lashlee is from Arkansas and has coached there as a coordinator. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Being an OC for the Miami Hurricanes, he can just get a better HC job than Arkansas State.

Not related to that, seems the buzz is that he was not well liked at ASU on a personal level. And the feelings from him were mutual. Rumors.

As someone from Jonesboro, you can say Jonesboro sucks. No one is going to argue with you
