He is my #1 choice. I do doubt it happens though.

That would be a good hire. There seems to be some around the Bama program that want him given a hard look when Saban retires or so the radio rumors go.

I think he would be a good choice. He has all the connections within the state Auburn could ask for and has certainly proven to be ready to move to a higher job.

However, some Auburn fans in my circle have expressed concern that he will not be able to recruit outside Alabama enough to go up against Saban.

You'd be getting him cheaper than bigger names so you use money saved to surround him with some savage recruiting mercenaries.

don't think he's ever coached outside of alabama ever, so it's a legit concern. i'd like to see him get a better g5 job/lower level p5 before making the jump to something like auburn.
