I love how half of Michigan fans say Miles was ready to accept and the other half say he never got an offer.

He got an offer the first time. Not the second.
You got it backwards. Lloyd Carr blocked the Les Miles deal in 2007. In 2010 Les was much more marketable, but he was going to stay at LSU.

ETA ESPN ran the story too but they were going off that tv stations report

ETA: Funny thing is had either of the news managers talked to their GMs first (one of which was a big Auburn booster, the other had strong Auburn ties), they would have known it was a flat out lie. Jobs were lost on that day

Well that makes a ton of sense.
ETA: And Im not saying it wasnt true, just saying it's pretty ridiculous.
