Bielema is perfectly programmed for the SEC. The SEC is more of a Big Ten conference than a Pac Ten conference. The really successful teams run the ball effectively from the I formation and then pass. BB has proven to be successful at this and a winner. When did Gus do anything other than that one year with Camfreek at Auburn? The more you think about it, the more you realize the Hogs made a great hire who style fits in very well with what it takes to be successful in the SEC.

8 years ago, Gus was winning a state championship at Springdale High School, Bielema was DC at Wisconsin. Gus has exactly 1 year of college HC experience, Bielema's first year at Arkansas will be year 8 as a D1 head coach.
Gus could end up a fantastic hire, but to me it reeks of desperation. Time will tell.

Gus is a much much better hire. He will make Auburn competitive again. Arkansas will remain Arkansas under Bielema. An also ran in their best year.

Seriously how in the hell can you say Bielema is a terrible coach? Wisconsin is not a good recruiting state whatsoever, Michigan and Ohio have huge advantages over them, and yet he puts out contending teams every single year.

I think Gus could end up being a great coach. BB is an established winning coach. We will see what Gus can do on his own.
