He'll go 8-4, 9-3 for three or four years, declare he's done his job getting the program back on track and then ditch the Huskers for a real job.

Probably will get fired if he doesn't win the Big 10 in 4 years

Considering the half of the conference he is in, he’s set up to do that.

All it takes is getting past Wiscy then preparing for the winner of the Ohio State / Michigan / Penn State free for all.

my very first bama game was at legion field against nebraska. bama won 20-3.

frost will need better defense at nebraska in order to compete. otherwise hes just another bill callahan, or whoever the guy was that ran up all the passing numbers at nebraska

I'll vote Miss. State.
When these teams lose their vaunted HC, and immediately make a move outside the program for an assistant without delay, it often works out well. They already searched, studied, vetted and are confident.

I really think most of the hires thus far have been great. Nebraska, A&M, UCLA, UF. Hell, I think MooSt did well

Not going to happen in the frozen corn fields back. It doesn't matter who the coach is. The Nebraska of ole is done. Elite status gone nothing to offer

I honestly believe he will be able to recruit to Nebraska like no one has done,

Not unless they start accepting partial qualifiers again.

I believe he will be the closest thing to the next Saban over the next 10-15 years. he has been a head coach for all of two years

He is going to a school where it is hard to get top recruits to go there. The one he was at was not a P5 school. Not all will be successful.

Man. I remember those day when Nebraska was the team to beat. A true national power.

I am wondering how Nebraska was able to do it at a location where top recruits are so far away from there.

Lol. Nebraska will never get the talent again to be relevant. Big 10 murdered that chance.

I'm so sick of this narrative. Yeah, shifting their geographic footprint by moving to the Big Ten didn't help, but they haven't been this bad in over half a century. Blue bloods like Oklahoma, Alabama and Notre Dame have had shittier seasons in the last 20 years and were able to rebound. ETA: I'm not saying Frost will bring the 90s back, but there's no reason for Nebraska to be a dead end job.

Nebraska at their height was able to get tier 1 talent out of California, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. That ain't happening today. Nowadays, you can't get tier 1 talent from those states to go to Nebraska.

Tom Osborne is the only answer I got for you. And money. There facilities were new and state of the art then.
