This seems logical.
Top flight DC's probably want to bring staff with them and if we don't have spots for them it could limit their interest. It is MUCH more important we get a top flight DC than a top flight recruiter/DL coach.

Pretty sure if Ogeron is lobbying for a position on the radio, I think this is the second "I'd love to coach at LSU" interview he's had, then there is no serious consideration by LSU. At this point, you'd have to think they've contacted whoever they have interest in. Personally, I'd love to see Ogeron as a DL coach/recruiter @ LSU but if he's on the radio expressing his desire to coach at LSU, then that means he's hoping somebody is listening.

To be fair, he didn't come on the radio to proclaim his strong desire to coach at LSU. He was asked about it a couple times by Ponamsky and Colutta who both want him at LSU and he gave fairly brief answers stating that he's always loved LSU and would be interested in any spot on the staff.
He spent most of the interview talking about the HS All Star games and generally how HC's go about hiring assistants.

Can someone let LM know of this develop. It seems he is the only one that does not know this. I will be pissed if Coach O is not on our sidelines this year.

I didn't hear the interview & I'm sure he didn't bring it up, gave an answer to a question that was asked & expressed his interest. I find nothing wrong with that, I wish someone would hear him & take notice. I'd love to see his aggressive style brought to LSU's DL & LB corps, not to mention his assets as a recruiter. It's just at this point, If he says he hasn't been contacted, I'm starting to think he won't be.

So the best college football recruiter (hell, recruiter period) alive right now says he wants to work at LSU? For God's sake, hire him! Even if it's just for the good feelings it would create amongst the fanbase!

Except that he almost immediately said "that's all I can say right now" or something like that. Which should tell you there has been contact but he is not going to come out and say exactly what it entailed.
You do a decent job of concern trolling though. I'll give you that.
