So the orange pants don't get him an extra year?

So Basilio is as credible as Clay Travis huh?

Sounds like it.
Barbara is going to be sad. She bought all those orange clothes for nothing.

What an absolute joke our school has become. The people making the decisions in our administration are a joke. I dont understand why they didn't fire Hamilton years ago. Please tell me a worse AD in the last 100 years than Hamilton. He didn't do one productive thing since being hired in 2003. When we had Doug Dickey things were awesome but as soon as dick head was hired things went south.

what has dooley ever done to show he's a good, let alone "great" coach?
I have started a few threads asking this very same question. I still am yet to figure out from anyone why people think he is a great coach.

think it would hurt Tennessee more than it would help them if they fired Dooley now

Doug Dickey buried the basketball program.

I could care less about basketball. The only sport that matters to me is football.

Doug Dickey did nothing special. He promoted from inside the program once in football and almost intentionally ruined the basketball program. The only good thing he ever did for Tennessee was integrating the football team.

All I know is under his watch we won a NT and were consistently in the top 10. Thats all I care about.

I still think this is the wrong move for TN. I think he would win big in the future.
Bill King and Phil Steele were taking about UT this morning on Sirius 91.
Respectable losses (score notwithstanding)
UGA, USCe, LSU, Bama, Arky
Questionable loss:
UF
WTF loss:
UK

good. is there any way they could get rid of UT's basketball program, or better yet dismantle the entire NCAA basketball? even if they end the NCAA basketball I probably wouldn't even realize it until years later.

Whether Basilio is full of rap as some people say, or if he has some good info and embellishes, at some point you have to wonder does this become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Even if Hart was not planning on making a change, if all of this toxic info keeps coming up and getting out there, does it force his hand? I can only imagine what a coach recruting against UT would do - print out a couple of Basilio's posts, talk about the calls from family members of players being made to Knoxville radio etc. and tell the kid "You don't know if he will be there for another 12 months, why do you want to commit to 4 or 5 years there when you have no idea who the coach will be?"

in theory, this negative recruiting would work. But you have to choose carefully on what kid to talk to about that. Negative recruiting turns A LOT of kids off and makes them think you're a slimeball.

I don't think Dickey is really responsible for Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama all having some issues in the 90's.

wouldnt say he "deserves 1 more year" so much as I would say having our 4th coach in 5 years probably would be do major damage to the program right now.
that's why I was thinking he would get another year, a 5th year senior at Tennessee would have played under 4 different coaches
