Doc from rays said he wouldn't give his yearly "100k" to UT as long as Dooley is still coach.

as a LaTech fan I can say that when he left the school for Tenn., most were more upset about him leaving as the athletic director because he really wasn't that great of a head coach

This reminds me so much of the end of Shulas tenure. If you switch coaches at this point, you need to bring in a sure thing. If you can't do that, then you should give Dooley another year to try and improve the talent base until you can get your sure thing.
