We arent getting rid of Deboer regardless of the iron bowl. Penn State cant afford the 80 mil buyout of Deboer. No worries

If he goes to LSU that would be a low character move and the end of The Republic. If he goes to Alabamer that would be peace in the middle east and beer and donuts for errybody.

Ummmmm...beer and donuts....

So they read this board. Despite what they say, I'm pretty sure Bama is not interested in Kiffin and neither is Texas. If anything, I think Kiffin pissed a lot of people off in his last exit from Bama.

Makes no sense for him to walk away from the most prestigious college program, unlimited resources, for PSU, especially since they are about to go to the SECCG, then to the CFP.

Agreed- he is also a solid coach so far and I would be surprised if Bama would be down with Lane drama.

Maybe he's worried about the expectations being too high at Bama....

So the solution is to go to the school who just fired their coach after 3 losses.....9 months removed from an appearance in the CFP semi-finals and being a late FG away from a shot at playing in the national title game

This is not going to happen. Also, DeBoer has already had a more successful career than Kiffin.

Are you sure the $80 million buyout isn’t what you would have to pay him to fire him? What is the buyout if he leaves voluntarily? The buyout to be paid to Alabama. There’s no way that’s 80 million is it?

That's the reason buyouts work. They work for that if someone wants to hire your coach they pay for it and if you fire him you owe him. No one would do it if it was a one way street.

There’s two different buyouts. There’s one that he would have to pay Alabama to leave. And there’s one that you would have to pay him to fire him. Those amounts are usually different.
Kiffin has a $4 million buyout to pay to Ole Miss if he wants to leave for instance.

Are you saying both the buyouts are 80 million?
