Napier was brought up because his name is out there for head coaching jobs, like all coaches looking for better jobs. What does that have to do with anything?

Because his name came from Bama coach? And Clemson coach? Do you know what was said in those conversations? All I know is those conversations were had.

If Woodward gets to Napier, a lot of coaches said no. Exactly 6 said no.

The process is working, the fact that you are to stupid to see it, is your own problem. Would his success translate to a top school, no one knows that, especially you. The sunbelt isn't the SEC, congratulations on your profound knowledge there.

LSU is as likely to end up with Napier as they are Riley at this point.

Buckle up Nancy, its going to be a long month for you.

Wait so you give… thank you because I started this thread on 10/26 telling dumbasses on here to stop speculating.

I also started this thread before Orgeron was hired with facts as to why HE DID NOT DESERVE TO BE HIRED. Yet here we are… November 2016.

Yes, getting the best players and beating people. The top classes in the league he is in. Top classes UL has ever had. Winning his league. Yes, that process.

He hasn’t won the Sunbelt though….

Ok Nostradamus. You predicted negative shite. Good call.

The next coach will get fired from LSU, the fans will hate them day 1, they may win games, they will lose games, lose recruits. That's my prediction for the next staff at LSU. Sound profound to you. I'm calling my shot on 11/14/21. Look how smart I am.

I'm not anti Napier, necessarily, but he's probably 6th on my list. And, like I said, I don't understand why Napier or die people feel the concerns with him are minimized
I'm not Napier or die by any means, but he's at the top of my list. I would currently rank them as:

1) Napier: high risk, high reward. I like what I see. Unproven but no big negatives either. If he turns out to be a home run, we are set for a real long time. Just my nature to follow my gut and take a chance here.

2) Aranda: safe and reliable with great potential for upside. No big negatives either, unless you want to believe the rant myth that he hates to recruit. Remember, if we had had a crystal ball after 2019 and knew that O was going to be out in 2021, we would not have let Aranda go to Baylor.

3) Riley: Super expensive, not my favorite personality, a bit of a whiner, and his lack of defensive success is a real concern. No excuses. If he takes defense seriously and can't manage to fix it, it's a problem. Again, if we had a crystal ball in 2019 that O would be out, would we have wanted the coach we managed to embarrass more than any other that year? Still, I would be happy with him.

Many if not most will think I'm a complete idiot. That's why we're here.

oh frick no.

There are about a dozen or so coaches that are a better fit than that arse clown.

Most have already been discussed on this board.

If you are going young and futuristic, Billy is your man.

Although unproven at the highest level, his resume is pretty good considering.

I would not be unhappy with him.

I've Napier also. I've warmed up to him. He won't give a shite what Nussy’s dad says. He’ll play the man he knows gives us the best chance to win.

Elko will not leave A&M unless it's for a head coaching job.

That's not a diss at LSU or anything, if we were both hiring coordinators when he left ND, I'm sure he probably would have went to LSU.

He's ready to take the next step and become a headcoach somewhere at a decent program. I really don't think we hang on to him for 2 more years.

They lost to the team that they were tied with during the regular season. So, technically they were tied without a conference championship game, but if we're going off of tie breakers with that game they didn't even tie it.

He did a really solid job with adjustments after first few series against OM. Once dominoes start there will be many more openings. If I’m an AD at small to mid school he’s getting a call.

They were co-champs per conference rules. Coastal Carolina backed out of the game to protect their interests. This season would have been a forfeit if they pulled that.

Cajuns played the earlier season game down 6 defensive starters due to actual Covid and lost on a walk off FG. Coastal Carolina backed out of conference championship after Cajuns arrived in Myrtle Beach due to 1 assistant coach testing positive. It was and still is bullshite

That may be, but the conference still ranks in the bottom 3 and the ULL SOS is bout 90. Let’s remember that Texas which is having a very poor year beat ULL by three touchdowns and in turn Texas got beat by three touchdowns to Iowa State.

why would Freeze leave a HC position to be our OC? Why not Belichick for DC while we're at it?

Considering his bama ties there's an ok chance he hires Nussmeier as OC they run the same BS offense
