Man, it is NOT going to be Napier. Everyone in the biz has all stated Woodward is looking at established Power 5 coaches only.

I'm not concerned with Napier being a Group 5 coach but that his overall offense is weak, bland and seemingly no better than average, considering he's an offensive coach. That does concern me.

Why do people say that he has the "Saban process" down pat?

What process is that? Getting the best players and beating people?

Yes, getting the best players and beating people. The top classes in the league he is in. Top classes UL has ever had. Winning his league. Yes, that process.

What makes you so confident this success translates to LSU and the SEC?

There have been plenty of G5 coaches who have done what Napier has done at ULL that haven't been able to transfer that success to the big leagues. Also. I realize the Sunbelt is improving, but they're really still a mid level G5 conference. It's a huge jump from that conference to the SEC.

Do you actually have confidence in any hire out there? He has done well at UL. The question I replied to was is the Process working. It is where he is currently coaching. He could fail miserably in a move up, he could succeed.

I personally have very little confidence in any coach out there right now watching football this season. Every coach out there has shite the bed this year.

And WHO have they beat down this season? They have struggled against shitty teams that have a SOS of 89.
Lost to a shitty Ut team that has lost 5 in a row including to KANSAS.

So getting good talent for the Southland and being a ok coach is not a sustained “process” dumbass.

Give me Deion Sanders. His 2021 class at Jackson St 55 is higher than anything Napier has ever signed. Fact.

Not really saying much beating up teams in the Kiddle Table conference.

Holy shite, you're right.

How does Jackson St outrecruit ULL? I guess there's a reason Saban didn't ask Napier to be in his commercial.

Ok dumbass. Who has anyone else beaten that can't be shite on? He ain't coming.

The process is working, the fact that you are to stupid to see it, is your own problem. Would his success translate to a top school, no one knows that, especially you. The sunbelt isn't the SEC, congratulations on your profound knowledge there.

LSU is as likely to end up with Napier as they are Riley at this point.

Buckle up Nancy, its going to be a long month for you.

Ask yourself why Napier has even been brought up.
You sound smart enough to figure that out.

Now, if it wasn’t for that reason, would he be a legit candidate to coach LSU?

I mean there are concerns with every candidate, but I think some candidates have bigger question marks than others and I'm not sure why all the Napier stans are so willing to overlook his question marks as opposed to other candidates.

Jimbo has a dreadful offense and has recruited QBs horrendously at A&M, but his 2022 and 2023 QB classes look great so far. And he's easily the most accomplished recruiter out of the candidates.

Riley has had the most success (record wise) and as far as conference championships and playoff appearances. His defense have been suspect and he hasn't fared well in the playoffs, but I assume Oklahoma was a big underdog in 2 of the 3 games.

Aranda is a defensive genius, but has a low key personality and has only been a head coach for 2 years. There's a concern if he can recruit at an elite level.

Napier has done well at UL but it's a really big step up from the Sunbelt to the SEC and I not confident his success there instantly translates to the LSU. People point to his recruiting as an Alabama assistant as proof he can recruit on an elite level, but totally discount the fact he was a WR coach and he was recruiting players for the greatest HC of all time. If you look at his all time recruits, it's not any better than Aranda's. I mean, was it even better than Mickey Joseph's?

Anyway. I'm not anti Napier, necessarily, but he's probably 6th on my list. And, like I said, I don't understand why Napier or die people feel the concerns with him are minimized while similar concerns with other candidates are major red flags.
