Was he fired by NU?

Either way, football pays the bills

And Byrne has been amazing as an AD except for football and he pretty much laid it down that Shermsn stays or I go with him. The Bow Tie has spoken

The Cutcliffe syndrome. Never put your boss in a no option situation unless you have a Plan B - you read it here first kiddies!

He was retiring next year anyway. He was thinking of his legacy. His ego needed Sherman to succeed.

Byrne was also strongly against the SEC move.

He's 0-2 against the Bow Tie

So there was his Plan B - just a year early.

How do you embark on a new coaching search without an AD in place.

frick that! He's on a roll. 6 NCs in last 3 years and not slowing down.

Fun fact: his son was my Dr in Baton Rouge when I was having foot surgery

You would have to ask Ole Miss that one.

It's easy you just yell loudly at each other until your football team is mired in 6 decades of mediocre to bad football. Rinse and Repeat.

It's Texas A&M. The BoR think they know best. Slocum and the then AD were also both fired and the BoR hired Fran. This really feels like 2002 all over again except now we have twitter.

I pray the results this go around are better. My top 2 were Mullen and Dantonio. Followed by Sumlin w/DeDuyter, Smart, Strong, Sumlin w/o DeRuyer or huge splash at DC
