As a fan, I want a Top 25 Defense - Coaches Name, Not Important

If you took the time to watch a few of the bowl games, you would have seen numerous teams playing good, fundamental defense. No big plays allowed, sound tackling, and players were in position.
Talented players are going to make plays. LSU beat Wisconsin because our skill players on offense were simply better than their well coached players on defense. Fickel admitted as much in his post-game presser, when he said that his team hadn't seen that much talent in a long time.
So, hire the best DC who can coach, recruit, manage, and player whisper. Don't get wrapped around the axle on this name or that name. There are many excellant coaches who could groom our pre-NFL talent at LSU.
The fan angst on this board is comical. Results are the bottom line, nothing else matters.

We were a national championship team this year if our players on defense just played fundamental football. That is LITERALLY all we needed. I don't know if many people realized it, but this offense was BETTER than 2019 with Joe Burrow. Just needed a high school defense and we win it all ffs. There was a reason. We were preseason #5 with like the third best odds to win the title.

I want players that swarm to the ball and know how to tackle. I also want cornerbacks that are taught to turn their head around and look for the ball
