100%? How do you know with this level of certainty?
I assume his extension hasn't officially been executed yet, but if it has, then he probably does have a hefty buyout if he goes to a school as close to Starkville as LSU is.
If his extension hasn't been signed, then I would guess his buyout is either $450k or $900k (either 50% or 100% of what's remaining on his original 2 year contract signed last January).

He was never going to leave. Knew that when he left BR without accepting an offer. He wants to be HC at Cincinnati and knows Fickell won't be there long, and he can still be close to home. Knows the area well to recruit it and won't have to go far. Best for both worlds.

He did, in fact, leave.
Just not for LSU.
He is aiming higher than Cincinnati. If he has a couple good seasons as ND DC, he'll 100% get a solid P5 job.
