Kiffin is the obvious choice.

Fuente benefitted this year from playing in a terrible division.

Norvell must have something wrong or he'd have gotten a big job by now.

Harsin wouldn't know where to start recruiting.

Not sold on Napier just yet.

Kiffen has swag, SEC experience, a rolodex of up and coming assistants, head coach experience, can get eyeballs ont he program, and has won at FAU, which is his first job after the Saban Rehab Clinic.

Whether you like him or hate him, he brings eyeballs.

Kind of like a good heel pro wrestler. If nothing else you'll pay good money to see somebody beat him.

Will be announced within 7 days contingent upon FAU's board etc. 5 years, 3.75 million per. Bringing Briles as OC and possibly Shannon as DC. He is expected to Coach FAU next weekend and will be announced prior to the CUSA championship game. FWIW~

This lines up to what I heard a little while ago. I heard serious heat with Kiffin to Ark and serious heat with Norvell to OM. Timelines would be similar. Both playing in conference title games and have the same agent.

but, but, but... didn't Norvell turn you down last time and then OM started the rumors that kept him at Memphis?

That kept Arkansas from hiring him?

Just what I had heard...

I have a hard time believing the part about Shannon, based off his previous experience at Arkansas.

Go for it. He's trying to beat the posse out of there.

Hes an above average coach at best.
so a coach that’s more than qualified for arky or mizzou? You talk like he would be a terrible hire but then say he’s above average

Kiffin at Arkansas with Briles and Shannon would be a triple crown home run hire, IMHO. Arkansas would be bowl eligible by next season, and challenging the big boys in the SECW two seasons after that.

Hopefully he does a better promo at Arkansas than he did with FAU

I love what Fuente did at Memphis, but beware. His mediocre results at VT are due to average to below average recruiting. He’s never been a big-time recruiter, but was able to compensate for that at Memphis. He’s struggling to do that at VT now. It would be worse in the SEC. Coaching inferior talent up here makes you a slightly better version of Vandy.

He needs to make a decision. Is he going to be a football coach or a poonhound?

My guess is football coach.
