Interested to see how #Baylor search unfolds in next day or so. #VirginiaTech coach Justin Fuente is a strong candidate, but others still in the mix. Several sources have mentioned #LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda today. Joey McGuire remains strong internal candidate.

So if they hire Fuente, will aranda then be a candidate for Virginia tech?

I still don’t think Aranda gets this gig. I just say that because it sounds like the current DC would be promoted before Aranda got offered the job, and it’s very unlikely he would turn it down.

Wouldn't the VA Tech job be pretty comparable to Baylor...maybe even better because you're the big dog for college football in the DMV? I'd like to see Aranda get the VA Tech job.

baylor needs offensive coaches. They did ok with a defensive minded coach, but they probably won't get over the oklahoma hump without focusing on offense.

Yeah but the issue for Fuente at VT is that it's hard to follow a legend. Beamer tailed off his last few years, but it's still following a great legend

The amount of ignorance in this thread is concerning. Plz start watching football games outside of the SEC, or at least read about other conference games or something...

Baylor's offensive problems this year were likely rooted in really bad O line play. Even with that they somehow were about 2 plays away from making the playoffs.

Snow, the current DC, has been linked to the Panthers with Rhule. Snow is also 64 years old.

Snow is not getting the HC job. Aranda, Napier, and Joey McGuire (who the players want) are the top candidates. Fuentes is a long shot to be offered....I'm hoping he doesn't get it.

The latest insider rumblings are that an announcement may be coming out later today.

Fuente is staying at Va Tech.

Napier, Aranda, or internal hire.

If it’s being announced today, one would think it’s McGuire
