A name to watch for that Hawaii HC opening could be Dave Aranda. Hawaii's HC left to replace Leach at Washington State. Aranda has expressed he wants to be the head guy now and did have his name out in a few searches.

Ross Dellenger first to write/tweet.

He did what he needed to do. There's no other place to go now for him.

He's held on long enough to get a better job than that.

Don't think he is the leading candidate for Baylor.

If Fuente leave VT for Baylor

I would think VT might be a landing spot for him if they offered. Or Venables. Since they are losing Foster.

Venables has a kid playing at Clemson. He’s probably never leaving but he’s definitely not leaving while his son is still there.

Eventually he has to take something before he gets labeled a bud foster type.

Can’t win at Hawaii. He should wait for a upper half PAC-12 job ina year or two. Ain’t like we gonna lose a step with the studs we have coming in on Defense.

Upper half Pac 12 job like what? USC is no certainty they will look at him because they have big money boosters. USC may want an experienced head coach after Helton is fired.

The other upper tier Pac 12 jobs are filled. Well, Arizona may come open. But, is Arizona in the upper half?

I doubt they will hire someone with no HC experience unless turned down a few times.

He’s a California guy.

After the 2020 season, both USC and UCLA are likely to be open.

I’m sure DA is astute enough to have read the tea leaves on that situation.

Aranda is the man to bring USC back to prominence

That being said they’ll probably frick it up and pass him over for another bust
