Aranda or Chris Kiffin as next LSU DC?

When Baker inevitably heads to greener pastures?
I feel like it will be Kiffin as he was given Co-DC title. Any other candidates?

Chris Kiffin would be a nepotistic disaster. We need a proven P4 defensive coordinator.

Or perhaps he was given the co-dc title to justify being able to pay him more.
I think Lane is smart enough and wants to win that he wouldn’t just give it to his brother unless he truly believed that he was the absolute right choice.
It also puts you in a really bad spot if your the head coach and you have a family member as oc/dc because if that side drops off you will have to fire him or be fired yourself. If the family member stays as a co or position coach there isn’t a ton of heat to fire them.

yeah it is just a title. like frank wilson was labeled as assistant head coach here.
he is not promoting his brother as DC.

I really have no idea about this. I also have no idea if he would be any good. You would hope he learned something from Monty. Monty was good at his job and adapted well to changing offenses over his career.
