Sark was a choir boy until the moment rumors of him leaving spread. It's as lame as it is transparent.

You don't know what you are talking about

Southern California fired its football coach, Steve Sarkisian, on Monday, one day after Athletic Director Pat Haden announced that Sarkisian would take a leave of absence after he failed to show up for a practice.

Haden said in a brief news conference that during a phone call with Sarkisian earlier in the day, “it was very clear” that Sarkisian was “not healthy.”
But don't let the facts get in the way of your rant

Bama friends say hes drinking, drinking real good
Posted on 12/8/16 at 4:41 pm to Camel24hrs
I mean it was very obvious Alabama was dead set on Sark to transition to OC. And Sark went to Tuscaloosa for that very reason. He was highly thought of by staff.
Something very obviously changed in the last couple of weeks for Bama to look elsewhere.
You can take guesses, obviously something happened that caused Saban to look in another direction.

You never know with rumors. I will put faith in our staff to vet him completely. I believe IF he is drinking there is no way we will touch him. Also IF he has not been drinking they will consider him like every one else. No need to worry here just put some faith in the process. In the end we will end up with the best available oc that will FIT our needs.
Whoever we get just cant drop a whole new offense on us and run with it. First year he will have to adapt his offense to our current personal. It will be a year or two for someone to fully implement a total new offense.

How do you vet that exactly? Do you think Saban is going to warn LSU? Do you think Sark is going to be truthful to O?
Just know this, in October of last year he was fired. Then in Sept of this year Bama hired him. Now 3 months later, when they absolutely have to have an OC, Sark is no longer needed?
That's all the vetting you need to do

Please show us a link where Saban or anyone on his staff or the U of Bama has made any negative statements publicly about Sark. Would be really useful to have a link to that instead of he said she said.

IF the rumors from bama ranters are true, he's folded under the pressure at his last 3 schools. Wash, USC & now Bama.

Allegedly, Marlon Brown's grandmother disagrees with you. But there are those who think UGA recruiters planted that story.

Why? Because they gave an out of work offensive guru with a very public drinking problem $2,900 a month to analyze film and help game plan?
Hey, I like plenty of other Bama fans just automatically assumed Sark was brought in for that purpose. But it's just assumption. "Alabama dead set" on it? Please. Neither Saban nor anyone else at Alabama has even hinted that. In fact, it would be typical Saban to go get someone not on anyone's radar...then publicly humiliate the reporter in the press conference who dares to ask What happened to the Sark-to-OC plan.

Bammers are saying he got torqued up Sunday night.
They are the ones that will put up the front of "no hard feelings, good luck" while the little Bama PR minions go about trying to discredit anyone who rebukes them. Kiffin was suddenly a drunk
We've got more that our share of twenty-something year old posters who post rumor like it as fact and gleefully slobber all over the knob of anyone who portrays himself as an "insider". Some talk about Kiffin frequenting the bars on the strip. Hey, maybe he does...but I would think there would be ten photos of him on Facebook and Twitter by morning.
And don't think Finebaum doesn't love pushing the rumors.
As for me, and I certainly could be wrong, but I don't believe any of it and will believe Sarkisian is gone when he's gone. If he had shown up drunk, I don't for one second believe that Nick Saban would continue to let him be anywhere near that football team.

Did your clergyman tell you to stop drinking and give him that money you spent on it?

Damn, Atl to Birmingham, that's pretty impressive.

esp since he sued USC for discrimination for firing him

Sarkisian claimed USC Athletic Director Pat Haden dismissed him last October rather than allow the coach to seek treatment for alcoholism.
Bama can't makek public statements. they may even violate the ADA iirc

All of which begs the question...why would Saban and Alabama put themselves in the position of running the risk of bringing the ADA act into play for a critical hire and multi-year position like OC? For a $2,900 a month film analyst, they can just tell Sark to stay home until his contract runs out.
For all we know, Saban has never had any intention of hiring him as OC, for this very reason.
Posted on 12/9/16 at 7:57 am to Camel24hrs
the risk/reward considerations with him are very ... intriguing.
I think I'd go for it. But then again it ain't my money and I have no actual knowledge of the facts other than the old media stuff and the Bama sauces stuff (I admittedly don't put much faith in the latter).

Seriously...can you imagine the hilarious scene in the next presser, if Saban goes out and hires someone not on anyone's radar...the poor schmuck of a reporter who speaks up and asks, "Coach, what happened to the plan to move Sarkisian to OC after Kiffin left..."
